Cost per 1,000 Puffs: 20 Disposable Vapes Ranked by Real Price (September 2026)

Puff counts on the box have become the main way disposable vapes are sold, and the main way shoppers get misled. A 50,000-puff device at $22.99 and a 10,000-puff device at $9.99 look like a premium product and a budget product; per puff, the “premium” one costs less than half as much. To make the comparison honest we took 28 disposables sold by our retail partner VapeOwls, divided the price a shopper actually pays today by the rated puff count, and ranked the 20 cheapest. The spread runs from 20¢ to $1.07 per 1,000 puffs for devices that are all rechargeable and, with two exceptions, all 5% nicotine.

Two caveats up front. First, rated puff counts are manufacturer figures and everyone falls short of them in real use; the ranking is a fair comparison between devices, not a promise of how long any one will last. Second, several of the cheapest entries are clearance prices that will not last, and we have flagged those.

What the ranking shows

Clearance 50K and 40K devices are the cheapest puffs available, period

The top three entries, VOZOL Mega 50K, the Adjust 40K family and NEXA Pix 35K, are all $9.99 clearance prices on devices that listed at $17–19. At 20–29¢ per 1,000 puffs they are less than a quarter of the cost of a Geek Bar Pulse 15K. If you are price-driven, these are the buys, and they are the ones most likely to be gone by the time the sale ends.

At full price, the 50K class settles at about 40¢

Nexa Ultra II, Geek Bar CLR, Geek Bar Ice Prince and Flum Float Mello Pro are all 50K devices at $18.99–$19.99, which lands them at 38–40¢. That is the honest “normal” price for a modern high-capacity disposable, and the number to compare any new device against.

Brand premium is real

Geek Bar’s 25K devices (Pulse 2, Pulse X) cost 80¢ per 1,000 puffs at $19.99, double the price of the brand’s own 50K devices. The Pulse 15K, at $1.07, is the most expensive device per puff in the entire set. Geek Bar makes good hardware, but you pay for the name most heavily in the smaller sizes.

Low-nicotine devices cost a little more per puff

Crosin 40K (1% nicotine) at 46¢ and Bubblemon Tuzzy 35K (2%) at 46¢ are slightly above the 5% devices in their class. Given how few low-strength high-capacity options exist, the premium is small.

The eight that did not make the top 20

The IceBomb 18000 deserves a note: at $1.00 per 1,000 it looks poor here, but it is a 16 mL device with a clear tank that replaced the discontinued ICEMAX 12000 (which was $1.42), and it owns a tea-and-ice flavor niche that none of the cheaper devices touch. Not every purchase is about cost per puff.

How to use this

Pick the flavor family and feature set you want first (screen, adjustable airflow, pod system), then use the per-1,000 number to choose between the devices that qualify. Do not buy a 15K device at $16 when the same brand’s 50K is $20. And if you see a 40K or 50K device under $10, that is a clearance price on a current-generation device, which is as cheap as puffs get in 2026.

How is cost per 1,000 puffs calculated?

Street price divided by the manufacturer’s rated puff count, multiplied by 1,000. We used the price at VapeOwls on September 1, 2026, including any sale price in effect, because that is what a shopper actually pays. List prices are noted where a device is on sale.

Are rated puff counts accurate?

No manufacturer’s number survives real use. Rated counts assume short, consistent draws; most adults get 50–70% of the rated figure. Because the shortfall is roughly proportional across brands, the ranking holds even though the absolute numbers do not.

Why are some 50K devices cheaper per puff than 20K devices?

Capacity is cheap; brand, screen and features are not. A $9.99 clearance 50K device spreads its price over five times as many puffs as a $9.99 10K device. Within the same brand, the newest and largest device is almost always the cheapest per puff.

Does nicotine strength affect the ranking?

All but two devices here are 5% nicotine salt. Crosin 40K is 1% and Bubblemon is 2%; both cost slightly more per puff than the cheapest 5% devices, but lower-strength users often take more puffs per session, so the comparison is fair for them too.
