What separates good candy flavors from bad ones
Three things, in our experience. First, restraint on the sweetener: the best candy flavors (Sour Straw, White Gummy) taste sweet because of the flavor profile, not because the liquid is loaded with sucralose, which turns metallic after a few hundred puffs. Second, a sour or cool counterweight: pure sugar gets old within a day, so the flavors people finish a whole device on almost always have either a sour edge (Sour Straw, Blue Rancher) or a cooling finish (Banana Taffy Freeze, Skittles Ice). Third, the coil: candy liquids are thick and sweet and gunk up cheap coils fast, which is why the same flavor can be great on a Geek Bar and burnt-tasting on a no-name device by day three.
